Song of the Day #3 - Dark Side of the Road
A change of mood for today. One of my favorite words is ‘rollicking’. My thesaurus tells me it’s synonymous with words like exuberant, lively, boisterous and spirited, and Van Morrison’s ‘Bright Side of the Road’ is certainly all of those. I don’t think it’s possible to listen to this tune without ending up feeling cheerful.
The band is tight, the energy is high, Morrison is in great form and the harmonica really cooks it.
This song is also appropriate for our current situation, or I hope it is. It would be wonderful if the bright side of the road is on the horizon.
